There are many memorable moments during the course
of your wedding reception. The two most
memorable points that guests experience at a wedding reception, according to
research, are the food and the entertainment.
There are many receptions that can be remembered as the time of our
life. Staying out later than we had
anticipated and dancing the night away.
On the other hand, there are those receptions that turned out to be a
huge disappointment and drug on and on and on.
This being said, it is very important to create a night not only for you
to remember, but for your guests to remember as well. Think of your entertainment as an investment
and the opportunity to give your guests something more – the night of their
lives.
A sample budget for a 5 hour reception may be $10,000, meaning each hour costs $2,000. If a DJ is hired for $500, and he or she can't keep the crowd entertained on the dance floor and guests leave, the last couple hours of the reception could potentially be a poor investment. Overall, a lot of money is invested in the dress, flowers, decorations, and a variety of other wedding aspects. What is the budget for flowers? Is it more than the entertainment budget? Can they play music and/or entertain your crowd? Can they keep the night’s events flowing smoothly and take care of the small behind the scenes details that good entertainers do with ease? The grand question is this...is your entertainment worth more than the flowers? What if the DJ decides not to show up at all, would anyone even notice the flowers?
Good entertainment does come with a price. You pay for what you get. I understand the value of entertainment. Many people disregard the value because they are accustomed to the same old DJ that just plays music and doesn’t add to the entertainment value of the evening! You, as the consumer, have all the right in the world to have an amazing wedding reception with AWESOME entertainment. I can take your reception to that next level.
